Del la rose makes 900K, same as Fabbri, so no cap benefit.
Del la rose is supposed to be very physical, and he is only 24. I thought by comments on him, that we got some 30 year old 4th liner.
Fabbri was never going to be a part of the team, he's 2 fragile. And supposedly he and Edmonson were big at playing fortnite and drinking till late hours, nightly and on game nights. And both are gone.
And with this move for a physical center, probably means Steen is out for a long time.

Detroit now has the worst offense (lowest gf/g) and worst defense (highest ga/g) in the league.
averaging 4 GA/A.. big oof

did we trade fabbs to open up payroll?
No, they are on the same exact contract. De La Rose is a hard worker, physical player. Maybe St. Louis needed some of that. Detroit needs goals. Worst case (Fabbri keeps getting injured, doesn't score many goals), I think this is an even trade, but there's potential for Detroit to easily win this.

I always forget fabbri had a favorable contract.

No. Fabbri just has been horrible since his rookie year. He wasn’t making that much.

damn , Washington is 11-2-3 and Islanders are 11-3 . 10 game win streak for Islanders
Boston is 11-2-2
blues on six game win streak, 11-3-3
playoff caliber teams are already around 20 pts yet so if you aren't close to that #, might be a long season.

Lots of pretty goals in Devils/Flames. I just hate how low the Sportsnet TV camera angle was though. Blues have the same low TV camera angle, and I don’t like it.

Bruins are thugging it up tonight. Marchand and Hronek had a nice little tussle.

Nice OT win for Winnipeg

And Fabbri assists on tonight's game winner with 30 seconds left. Greatest trade of all time.

He'll be injured in a few games.
Death, taxes, and Fabbri being injured, 3 things you can count on happening.
