Nice rebound game for the Pens (and Fleury). They definitely wanted it more than the Sens. Crosby took the game over from the initial goal, to the 3rd period diving save on the goal line, to the game winning assist. It looks like it's going to be a long series.

Preds win. Like I said, if they can just find a little offense they are knocking Chicago out early.

Went to a bar for the Pens game

Words can not describe just how great Sid played tonight. He put the team on his shoulders and now we have a series.

Adams/Rupp/Dupuis/Talbot all played so well tonight. We dominated the depth game. That's what you have to do for 60 minutes to win a hockey game and that's just what our 4th line provided us.

Thank you to Sutton, we found our game. It wasn't about intensity, it wasn't about a certain scheme, and it wasn't even about the line matchups... it was about emotion. As soon as that hit happened, the switch was flipped and the Penguins became emotionally invested in this series.

There's one. And the Avalanche are still the Nordiques to me.

Nabokov at it again in the playoffs. He actually played a decent first game, but 3 goals on 8 shots so far in this one! I figured the home teams would bounce back and the Pens and Devils both did that. Phoenix is showing they're for real; that's been a hell of a game. 5 goals in less than 4 minutes.

That Coyotes/Wings game has been very entertaining. Didn't know much about Phoenix, but they look legit.

The Sharks barely avoided another catastrophe, but Colorado has to feel pretty confident heading back home. Nabokov was awful tonight and they were fortunate to win in spite of that effort. The Phoenix/Detroit game was a slugfest; they kept exchanging goals all game and Phoenix didn't have quite enough to keep up. I think Chicago will take game 2, but the Preds played very well and that was far from a fluke. Just another good night of games all around. Now we get to see how the Caps handle the pressure.

Not much argument there. Still a travesty they and Winnipeg don't have teams in the league. Hamilton, too, for that matter. All are bigger than Raleigh-Durham.

Bruins need to steal one today!

Although I'm a diehard Blackhawks fan, looks like the goalie position is going to be our downfall. I'm on the Sabres wagon if the Hawks are eliminated. Ryan Miller makes me sooo wet.
