NHL on NBC networks had its lowest regular season ratings

NHL on NBC/NBCSN had its lowest regular-season audience under the current rights deal that began with the 2011-2012 season (417,000 avg. viewers in 2017-2018). NBC was up 4% (3 fewer games), but NBCSN was down 12% and saw the cable network's lowest mark since 2009-2010 season

All TV ratings are down except for the NBA and we'll see how well they do after LeBron retires. Don't understand why it's worth noting when lower ratings are the norm for almost every television event.

People shite on ESPN but NHL ratings would be much higher there. People watch ESPN out of habit when nothing else is in, they don’t tune to nbcsn
