I'm mad that the officials missed calls.
Downie should have been gone. Trips never called both sides. Horrible awareness by OFFICALS on line calls and situations. No real set rules for face offs and poor judgement on whistles.

Outstanding game. The NHL playoffs are always great, but this year may be the best in some time.

It's always strong defensive teams that get called "Dirty". Bruins played a hell of a game tonight and deserved to win.

The whining about the officiating is out of control. You'd think people were NBA fans. No, refs do not get 100% of calls correct. But, please, get over it. The officiating is nowhere near as bad as some of y'all are trying to say.

What always gets me about someone's complaint on a non-call is acting like a cross check gone unnoticed in the neutral zone would have led to the game winning goal, if only for a PP opportunity.

I disagree (shocker I know). The officiating this year is much more inconsistent then in recent prior years (and I know people bitch every year). But my anectdotal memory does not remember this many games where the refs starred to such a high level.... in terms of both their effect on an individual game or the extremes game to game. From game to game it is not entirely clear what consitutes a penalty these days nor the severity of such penalty. League offices have taken this to the next level with their application or lackthereof of suspensions.
Again, not saying conspiracy either way; I am arguing the consistency from the zebras through Colin Campbell have been very poor IMO this year in comparison to prior years.

I agree as well. The zebras are very very inconsistent and are just plain terrible this year.

The tripping that was missed on the Tampa player behind Boston's net was bad. Happened with about 4 minutes or so to go in the 3rd period.

I just don't see this terrible officiating y'all are. I see the massive outcry from the professional shite stirrers in the media, I just think they are as full of it as they ever are. And I certainly don't think one game has been decided by bad calls.
I do think there's a general problem with the league wide crackdown on headhsots, as no one quite know what a penalty is, but that's just something that happens when you go through a transitionary period. It's inevitable, and has to happen, in order to get where the league wants to be (and where the primarily Canadian fans have demanded). Changing officiating philosophy can't happen overnight, it's like turning a huge steamer. It is slow and deliberate.
Refs are an easy target because they have no fanbase. Everyone hates the refs on spec. But I think it's just whining gone out of control.

Don Cherry's partner on HNC Ron Maclean is a former referee and is always sticking up for them much to the chagrin of Mr. Don Les Cherry, but even he has been critical of the consistancy of the calls, pointing out the non calls while defending the stuff that gets whistled...There are are refs that we all liked up here even if they called a game where it went against our beloved Leafs or Habs Baloo, Andy Van Hellemond jumps to mind, and we LOVED Scampi (linesman) in anycase we will continue to agree to disagree like gentlemen...

Big game for Rolo and Marty. Hope the NHL can find officals worthy, as the last 3 games have been horribly officiated. It's a shame Bettman has made NHL officiating make WWE and NBA look legit.
