This is ridiculous.

ARLINGTON A shooting victim was taken to the hospital and a suspect was in custody Sunday evening after a fight in the AT&T Stadium parking lot, Arlington police said.
Officers responded at about 8:30 p.m. to a report of a fight in Lot 10 at the stadium, said Arlington police spokesman Lt. Chris Cook. He said officers heard one gunshot, and that a male victim in his early 40s was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries.
“I didn’t think he was going to pull the trigger,” said witness Lester Peters of Lufkin.
The suspect, who was injured when he tripped over a retaining wall, also was taken to a hospital.
Further details were not available, Cook said.
By 9:46 p.m. three police cars and an ambulance were still on the scene and officers continued to investigate.
Witnesses said the incident started shortly before 8 p.m., following the Dallas Cowboys’ defeat by the New England Patriots.
The area around the stadium and Globe Life Park was a massive crowd scene because of the baseball and football games being played.
The Texas Rangers’ game against the Toronto Blue Jays started at 7:05 p.m.
It gets worse, per Cowboys beat writer.

If only the other guy had a gun this wouldn't have happened.

probably not if the shooter knew he had it
He would have just slunk off and gotten "mad" at someone who didn't have one.

The Cowboys attract A LOT of trashy people unfortunately. Thankfully Jerry usually prices people like this out of games, unlike in Oakland where the homeless can almost afford a ticket.

I just can't imagine shooting another human being

cute sarcasm
except that's not what it is about. it's about the right to defend yourself from such attacks.

If I start watching NFL games again, I would hope someone would shoot me.

If there were no guns at all this wouldn't have happened.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- A 43-year-old Texas man who was shot outside the Dallas Cowboys stadium over the weekend has died.
Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office records show Richard Sells died Wednesday night at a Fort Worth hospital.
Authorities said he was shot Sunday during a fight at a parking lot tailgate party after the Cowboys lost to the New England Patriots. Arlington police said 28-year-old Marvin Rodriguez pointed a gun at a man during a fight then shot Sells in the neck as Sells tried to break up another altercation.
Records show Rodriguez is jailed on charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bail has been set at $200,000. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
This story has been corrected to show that Sells died Wednesday night, not Thursday.
