I'm guessing everyone sort of realizes this now, but Florio said Rodgers going there is a done deal.

I mean I kind of get it. If they're right about Brown/Pierce, that team makes a step up a tier at least.

Good OL. Good D (with the above assumptions). Great RBs and very good receiving options. You even have a backup QB if Pennix gets hurt.

I can see the "if Pearce came back and disproved his question marks he'd be a top 5 pick" argument.

I would not do it, but I can see how a team convinces itself to do it.

They must have Mike Green off their board entirely b/c he may be available with where their 2nd round pick was.

I mean you can say that about nearly every pick at a premium position

It’s just too great a cost for a mid pick in the first of a weak draft. Or any draft in my opinion. If you could protect it like in the NBA it might be different but the NFL life is one that could have you in the top 10 when you least expect it. And can be a compounding issue when teams trade more capital to get back into the first the following year when they have fomo of if they whiffed on the player they traded up for

I said that I would not do it. I was just explaining how a team could convince themselves to do it

Fair, thats just a low bar to pass for me because NFL teams convince themselves to do dumb shite all the time with shoddy logic behind it

Yeah off the back of Jalen Carter dropping because he is human garbage, and the Titans stupidly trading away AJ Brown

Fair, with the Jags Owner he’ll get fired in 15 years of alternating between 4-13 and 7-9 seasons

The jags also gave up too much. He's not playing both ways full time in the NFL, no matter how much they try and convince themselves he can.

Its a clown take even if he does actually get fired in a year and a half because of when you are saying it

Hhe has made exactly one pick for a prospect a lot of people are saying might be a once in a decade guy who is also potentially a 2 position unicorn. If you're going to take a swing on a guy, why not that guy?

The falcons gave up almost as much as the Jags did to move into the 20's and take a defensive end They are rolling with Penix as their starting QB. Are we really 100% sure that won't be a top 10 pick?

Gladstone might suck. But you make your money on day 2 and 3. Lets see what he does. For all the glazing everyone does of Roseman, about half his first rounders in the past decade have been busts and 3-4 more of them were not busts but also not worth first round picks.

i really don't understand the Gaints trade for Dart. who were they worried would take him ahead of them, i guess someone else was going to trade up to get him?

i like it for the texans

i have never been impressed with Dart. Last years LSU game was pretty damn bad

On paper, he had better stats than Nuss all year but even taking the homer glasses off, Nuss carried a massive load last year without a great WRs or running game.
