Troy apke ran a 4.35. Looked him up and he didn't look fast at all on tape. Funny how that works sometimes

He had a 41" vertical too. Lol. How do they manage to hide this stuff when they play in the games?

The Browns are supposedly leaning towards Barkley. That would be the Cleveland thing to do. Guy is not a workhorse. He's a playmaker. But he damn sure isn't a number one pick and even though Richardson was a huge bust, he had a much better college career.

Guice, Michel, Chubb > Barkley.

Barkley college stats:

671 carries, 3843 rushing yards, 5.7 YPC, 5038 total yards from scrimmage with 51 touchdowns.

Richardson college stats:

540 carries, 3130 rushing yards, 5.8 YPC, 3860 total yards from scrimmage with 42 total touchdowns

Barkley didn't share the backfield with Mark Ingram and Eddie Lacy. I meant for the competition he went against and who he shared time with,

Bottom line is Barkley at number one would be idiotic.

Which makes it easier than being in the backfield every carry, IMO, because you get a breather and the defense sees a change of pace.

His rushing and TD stats scale per carry with Richardson and his receiving totals are better. I don't know much about Penn State's O-Line but I bet they aren't in Bama's league. Big 10 ain't the SEC, but they produce the second most NFL talent out of all college football conferences so they aren't exactly slouches either.

You got Sean Payton out there calling Shaq the best RB in 25 years (which I don't agree with, but I doubt he cares about my opinion). I wouldn't take him number one, but I think the Browns would get a lot more of a return out of him than another quarterback that they'll bring in and destroy in their system.

He disappeared against several teams this year including Ohio State. After returning the kickoff for a td, he got stopped. He had a terrible game against Georgia State and only had 5 games over 100 yards last year.

Richardson had nine 100 yard games his final year and one game with 96 yards.

He certainly had a better SR year than Shaq, I'll give you that.

He went pro as a junior.

I have no problem with Barkley, just feel it would be a bad pick at number 1. They could take Rosen, Darnold, or Allen and still get Guice or Michel later. Or they could trade the pick, still get a QB in the 1st, and then pick up a good runner in the 2nd or with a traded first round pick. Barkley is a much better pass catcher than Richardson.

The Ohio State defense makes a lot of backs disappear. That doesn't mean they still aren't great backs.

Right, final year...not senior year. Brain fart.

At the end of the day, it's all speculation. Hell, Richardson's college stats were better than Adrian Peterson's outside of his freshman year but we see how that translated to pro ball.

Dudes go to the combine, blow up, and scouts put entirely too much stock into it every time. This may very well be another one of those situations. We'll see how it translates on the field soon enough.

Let's not discount how putrid Penn State's OL has been over the past few years.

Never said he wasn't great, I said he's not a workhorse/every down back and there are many analysts saying the same thing. He's a great playamker with nice size.

If Cleveland wants Barkley, they have to take him #1. He won't be there at 4. But there are plenty of QB's that will be. Personally I would get a QB and and OL with the 1 and 4. Grab one of Michel/Chubb, Guice or even Penny later on

What's the shelf life of the average RB in the NFL?

Get the QB you most want at 1, take the best OL at 4. Maybe a dominant DL if there's one you like.

Nothing else is worth it IMO, at least in this draft

Being 6'7" it's crazy how fast he was. Wish he'd have cared, could've been great
