They have redefined what a catch is. It’s insane. That receiver caught the ball, I don’t care what the rule book says.

This is what I hate about the rule.

He had complete control, made a move and stretched it across the goal line. Play should be over right there

But becuase he bobbled it when he hit he ground, no catch. BS. He crossed the plane with control

Yeah the current rules suck.

If you gain control at any point, it should be a catch.

He caught it with a knee down, turned and broke the plane, then the ground caused it to move. It still didn’t come out of his hands. Seriously the NFL has ruined football. No one even knows what a catch is anymore.

I agree, also even though ball moved was there obvious evidence his hand wasn’t still under the ball?

I mean by their "ruling" they were right but their rule is absolute shite. If you're trying to make a move like cross the plane or whatever it shouldn't make something not a catch.

This is losing the NFL way more viewers than the kneeling ever will. We learned the hard way last week what happens when you let the refs have a chance to control the outcome.

It's a great ruke...think about it...offenses try to gain extra yards by diving forward. Well, if you expect to be able to be given credit for that extra forward progress, then you are expected to secure the ball without it moving when hitting the ground.
He did it to himself. If he secures it to his crest, they score on the next play.

It's fair

He did pull it to his body before turning, lunging and stretching.

What you are describing is a fumble. By all rules of football that should be a touchdown. Whether you wanna say the play is dead when his knee is down, he fumbles and keeps possession in the end zone etc.

It’s crazy they take something so simple and make it so difficult.

i think we all agree the going to the ground is stupid and should play no point in deciding a completion.

i think everyone feels that anything that happens after you cross the goal line shouldnt matter, since the play should be over as soon as the ball crosses the goal line.

pass interference just because you dont turn your head also needs to go, the only standard should be if you actually do something to cause physical contact before the ball gets there that prevents a catch

Nope, when leaving your feet to make a catch, you have to secure it all the way to the ground without it moving
