They can say what they want, but you know that other cities will be lobbying real hard and this is a clear target. I think NOLA will get another Super Bowl, but it wont be 2018...

Because the NFL doesn't care about that. They care about what the conditions are for the event they are hosting. The one that is on a world stage and billions of dollars invested in the event. The event demands perfection.

so then why is Jersey hosting next season?

NFL had their best ratings ever for this game and it is obvious that it was a FLUKE event.

1/1750 = fluke. I don't understand how you can argue against it

Are you referencing the previous power outage? Or the potential weather issues?

I believe MetLife won the bid before their outage. If they didn't they most certainly had to answer to it in their proposal.

Again, that is all I'm saying. It isn't going to prevent NOLA from hosting again, it just doesn't help.

How do you know what the NFL looks at? After multiple super bowls, Final Fours, Sugar Bowls, National Champinship games, this has never happened.

Neither of us are Electrical Engineers or work for the superdome or entergy so atm nobody knows exactly what happened. But I am willing to bet you that the first thing they show the NFL is how they've remedied the problem and ensure it wont happen again, with test reports.

I'm referencing power outages, weather issues, logistical issues, traffic, etc. It certainly has way more variables than a warm weather city

A fluke event will have negligible impact on future events.

Yep. And do you think this is good? The goal of the proposal is to keep the bad stuff off...

Yea i think its a good thing. Ti will show that yesterday's incident was equipment failure(or whatever it was) and by the next big game all equipment will be tested again and again. The problem they had yesterday through 2018 have been fixed.

I understand your argument, but I think the NFl will overlook yesterdays blackout if Superdone officials can show they've upgraded their facilities. The NFl will probably do their own inspection too.

Not only will New Orleans host the Super Bowl again, it will host it in 2018.
