I realize most of the players took the week off of kneeling due to the negative optics of protesting the Natl Anthem, but how are there no stories about the lack of protests? The ESPN app, which at one point a few weeks back had more than 75% of the lead headlines about the protest, had nothing viable. Same with CNN, etc.

What’s the deal?

NFL PR machine doing work

Think about how much the media depends on a successful NFL. If the NFL tanked from a popularity standpoint, what would happen to the talk shows, sports shows, etc. what happens to those ad dollars?
The media knows where it's bread is buttered.

NFL shut them down so they could collect their paycheck from the DOD, USAA and Navy Federal Credit Union this weekend and kiss the military's arse.

Nothing like getting paid to be "patriotic."

Yes. As shocking as it seems, they want their pregame entertainment to look like a freaking Nazi Rally.

It is worth noting that many players didn't kneel today in light of Veterans Day. However, haven't they said many times that the protest has nothing to do with disrespecting the military? It sort of rings hollow if you say it isn't a disrespect to the military, yet you decided not to do it on Veterans Day.

Because, believe it or not. The majority of America doesn't care anything about the protests one way or another.

Because they have moved on, now it's time to accuse People running for political position of sexual assaults, but making sure the said event was 30+ years ago, so Police won't open up a investigation, as the statue of limitations are over. Investigation would uncover the lies, no investigation, no need to prove the person actually did it.

I see this as the new Liberal playbook for all Open Mayoral,Governor,Senate,House elections going forward.

Understand that it's Veterans Day weekend, but I'm talking about the media coverage. I would think there would be a barrage of stories about players standing, etc. but it was all crickets. It's like the last 10 weeks of controversy never happened.

Yet it was the leading story on most sports media outlets for multiple weeks and the subject of many many long threads on here... But yeah nobody cares.

Because the owners finally made it a week without stepping on their own dicks and talking about it.
