Like I said, Jason Garrett is the Les Miles of the NFL.

No disagreement there. They just setup a half return on a 2 second game/play clock differential when the team was punting from the endzone.

I mean what the fricking frick?!? Setup the full-on block and try to make a damn play.

Shouldn't they have been able to try a free kick there?

Yeah I don't get why he fielded the ball? It's not a live ball like on a kick off.

Garrett also had no knowledge of the untimed fair catch FG rule or he would have let Bailey try it from his 38 yard line there.

Clock ran out while the ball was in the air. Half.

So if he's gonna fair catch it anyway, why not just send 11 guys to try and block the punt?

Because Dallas' coaching staff is hot garbage.

Even if you muff the punt the other team can't advance it so there's no risk to try to catch and return it there. The fair catch made no sense. Especially with no one around.

It also made no sense to punt the ball.

The long pass on 3rd and 2 first drive of the game was an early sign that even the coaches were not sharp after the bye. No punt block and a fair catch at the buzzer was the perfect bookend to that half.

Run the freaking ball.

I honestly believe most people don't even know Dallas could have attempted a FG there. However, it would have been 73 yards...

Does not matter. Fair catch free kick can be done with 0:00 on the clock.

That was a shitty first half for Garrett. Not having any TOs there at the end could come back to haunt them

@MikePereira
The Cowboys could have tried a fair catch kick from the 38. The Cowboys declined the opportunity. Corrente made the announcement.

Green Bay could field the kick though right?

Declined a chance for free points? What a fool. 72 yards with a full run up and no rush, makeable for a pro.

72 yards. It could have been interesting at least. I don't think anyone has been successshul in doing it in over 30 years.

Could the Packers have ran it back like Auburn vs. Alabama?

pretty normal nowaday on for a kicker to put it between the uprights on kickoffs... which are from the 35
