Maravich, Goodrich, Truck Robinson, Aaron James, Rich Kelly for the Jazz.
Bob Lanier was the Pistons' star. M.L. Carr in his pre-Celtics days.
John Shumate and Eric Money with the Pistons.
Chris Ford was a Piston.

There should have been a four way trade for team names years ago.

Memphis Grizzlies- Utah Grizzlies

Utah Jazz- New Orleans Jazz

New Orleans Hornets- Charlotte Hornets

Charlotte Bobcats- Memphis Bobcats (Well Memphis definitely would have come out on the short end of the trade. Maybe they could have also gotten some monetary compensation from the other three teams and changed their name to the "Blues" or something.)

I actually like it because it’s so ridiculous. Kind of like the Los Angeles “ Lakers”

Maravich redirects Watts' pass to Paul Griffin for the layup.

Make it five to add Sacramento into there to give Kings to Memphis ("thank you...thank you very much").

Sactown could then name their team anything they want because they aren't known for anything but being a state capital with a NBA team. They could just go with Queens like Shaq suggested.

Bob Lanier with the old "Three-to-make-two" free throw opportunity.

Dude was so big and mobile before all the knee surgeries.

And lakers too. Was Minnesota

Rochester royals not so bad. Just alliteration.
Moved to the queen city of the ohio. Cincinnati royals.
Then kc kings. M'k.
Sacto kings lost the touch.

They called more 3 seconds violations in the past 5 minutes than they call in the entire modern nba season.

I think he got worn down carrying Roger Murdock up and down the court for 48 minutes every night.

The Jazz name “reaction” is such a snowflake response.

Jazz have had the name for nearly 4 decades now.

Move on.

I had no idea Lanier played at St. Bonaventure. Had to look it up. I thought he played somewhere bigger.

That and toting it all around on those size 20 feet.

Gawd the names...miss 'em. Miss Rod Hundley, too. The only thing that kept me watching the NBA after 1980 was the CBS tape-delay/west coast playoff games at 10:30 CDT after the channel 4 news. And even then, once the Lakers/Celtics rivalry was over, I tuned out.

Same here, I was young enough to think they were all live.
