Understated factor: big ten school graduates are hyper-peripatetic - they relocate all over the US. Go to any large market on either coast, and it’s discernible how many undergrad transfers from the Midwest are there.
Not to say SEC grads do not relocate - some do. But not to the same degree. Southern tends to remain southern.

When women’s sports start how is the Big10 handling men in women’s sports with a majority of its states having to follow Biden’s legislative rewrite of TitleIX but not all like Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, and Nebraska don’t have to follow it (not sure if more)?
The SEC does not have to deal with it for now at least with conference match ups.
