First there were Tebow and Jake Locker, now we have Cam Newton, Terrell Pryor, and to an extent, JJ. Is this physical type,(big, strong, run-pass kinda guy)the new standard for QBs? Or is it a coincidence?

Dude...trying to put JJ in the same category as Tebo, Pryor and Newton is like saying Rosie O'Donnell is in the same category as Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry and Heather Locklear.

Finding more ways to throw the option at teams in college. NFL's rules and salaries make it a pass first league

ok i know JJ comments have been made, so i won't make them

but

i remember reading around 2000/2001 in SI about the "new age of college QBs"

it featured vick, dantzler, etc

BOOM...8/14/00

featured QBs:

Michael Vick
Marques Tuiasosopo
Ronald Curry
Quincy Carter
Woody Dantzler
Shaun King
Anquan Boldin
Antwaan Randle El

funny quote:

quote:

" Dantzler could be the first two and one," Tommy says of breaking the 2,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing barriers in one season. "Someone's going to do it. I bet we can get it this year." Read more:

I agree. The Colts need to get a replacement for Peyton asap, though. His career is really diminishing
