Nebraska's problem was not moving to the BIG. Huskers still haul in good recruiting classes because of their name. The problem has been a string of mediocre to bad coaches. Frost is bad.

They should have stayed. Pulling kids up from Dallas and Houston and other Texas town is a helluva lot easier than getting them from Ohio and Chicago.

When Nebraska was in their hey days of the 60s, 70s, 80s they played in the Big 8 which had no presence in Texas. The whole Texas recruiting pipeline for Nebraska is completely overblown and false. Nebraska pulled some of their best players out of Cali and New Jersey, of all places.
The problem has been coaching. They went back to back legends in Devaney and Osbourne. They've been trying to find the next one for 20 years and have chosen poorly.
