So why did ND get hated on and Clemson didn't? ND deserved a spot before Clemson, and they are a good pick for the playoffs. Clemson's best wins are #19 and #20. ND beat #7,20,22

Clemson is in a conference, more or less out of their control. ND stays indy and gets to do whatever they want. Plus frick ND

Yeah, let’s penalize ND because they:

1. Didn’t play a 7-5 Pitt team in a conference championship

2. Played a down USC

3. Played a down Stanford

4. Beat Michigan in week 1 and not week 12

Because Clemson is a proven commodity that has won a title recently.

Also can't forgive 2012

What a stupid argument

Zero ND players on this team played in 2012.

How did ND get hated on? They weren't dropped to 4 to play Bama. There are 3 undefeated teams, and Clemson looked more complete for most of the year

Brian Kelly is still the coach though. Good news is ND gets to try to prove everyone wrong

Spoiler alert: They won't. Clemson wins by 2 scores

Clemson has proven they can compete at the highest levels the past few years.

Also, the eye test. People mock it, but it's true.

Clemson is an 11 point favorite for a reason. They are a better team than Notre Dame and have more future NFL talent on their roster.

This should have zero effect on choosing 4 playoff teams.

Alabama beat Georgia when Georgia was 1 win from making the playoff.

They blanked LSU in BR.

They beat Miss State 24-7.

Spanked aTm.

What the shite are you talking about?

ND beat Vandy by 5, Pitt by 5, and USC by 7. They scored a late TD to beat Northwestern by 10. ND didn't exactly get through their season without some close calls.

I disagree.

And I DAMN sure disagree when the proven commodity we're discussing is 13-0 and a conference champ

Because ND played Pitt in mid-October instead of Dec. 1, which, for some reason, people think makes a huge difference.

Besides, Clemson and ND both got in.

If you put ND at 2 and Clemson at 3, they still play each other, so it's really irrelevant isn't it.
