I don't follow basketball a lot, but gosh, is college basketball down this year if this is the national championship game?

Is this bad offense or good defense?

Both. The D has been solid on both ends, but even great defense against a good team is still gonna give up ~60 points. UConn is on pace for 38 and Butler for 44 right now.

Was sort of down last year. Really down this year.

Although I really think Ohio State was a really good teams. They were the only ones though IMO.

If this keeps up, the NCAA basketball committee might be thinking of a play-off system.

For some reason I'm actually enjoying this game. The defense really has been spectacular. Rotation from both teams has been stellar.

I am too. My high school team is a bunch of undersized white boys like Butler and we play the same exact style Butler does (boring) but it works for us. So hey, I can appreciate this type of game.

Butler's style is too foul on every possession and just assume that the refs aren't going to call 45 fouls in a game. They do this especially in the tournament, hence Boeheim's euphemism about how Butler was "the most physical team he has ever seen".

This leads to very ugly basketball, but it makes them a super tough out in the tourney.

The game looks very different than a Duke-UNC or Kansas-Texas game though.

also, this game may be the night where both teams go back down to earth, and that's why they're playing so horribly

Who listens to Mike and Mike? That lady's prediction of UConn over Butler in the final 53-39 isn't looking too bad right now.
