gladly give up baseball for the SEC to have wrestling instead. Stupid Title IX.

The south is great at baseball.

There was no wrestling in Louisiana when I lived there.

You post makes no sense.
It's about you.

I presume you wrestled.
Where?

The New Orleans area catholic schools are great
My hometown (brusly high) has won at least 15 state titles in 30 years

But no one from my school ever went to the Iowa’s, psu, osu or even received a scholarship.

It’s popular but the competition isn’t like it is compared to the other parts of the US for high school

Great move. My son wrestled in high school. It is an awesome sport. You may also want to look into BJJ as well. Our best students in our school are generally the guys that wrestled in high school and college.

They didn't have it at my high school or even in my area of NE LA when I was that age. It would have served me well when I got into jits because 10 years ago, jits guys really had no clue about takedowns or takedown defense. With the influx of wrestlers into BJJ and MMA, jits has truly evolved for the better.

My son wrestled all 4 years of high school at Heavy since it was a good transition from football and it helped him tremendously as a D-Lineman on the field. It also made for a great sparring partner for me.
