Is it an NCAA violation for college athletes to be contacted by NBA or former NBA player?

Did Dez Bryant get in trouble for lying about talking to prime time when he was at Ok State?

There was a flight or staying somewhere involved. It was "financial" gain supposedly

It seems like they were more pissed about him lying than the actual benefit they were investigating. Fuzzy memories.

There is no way just talking to them is a violation. College athletes talk to pro athletes all the time. My brother has the same hitting coach as Carl Crawford and Michael Bourn, as well as other college and minor league players. they all talk to each other. It's like that all over the country where professionals and amateurs are in contact with one another through mutual acquaintances like a coach or friend.
