I really did think Curbello was good last year in the tournament. He’s looked so much worse this year.
Illinois also wouldve made the final four last year if their coach realized that playing through Ayo and Adam Miller was better than Kofi. They can’t go far playing through a guy like Kofi, not how March works

Playing through Kofi isn't the issue, its how they are playing "through" him is the issue.
Its just silly. They have no ball movement or anything. They just swing it around the perimeter and hope they get enough space for a 3, or hope he somehow ends up with a 1-on-1 situation where Houston screws up their coverage.

Cockburn tells Houston's bench they're too little, then immediately gives up an OREB for an And-1

The fact that Illinois runs an offense in 2022 with literally ZERO pick and roll action is coaching malpractice.

These offenses are pathetic

Yeah this is just a horrible offensive game plan

I kinda get Houston's predicament, but Illinois running this offense sets basketball back 100 years.

Houston is just a version of Wade’s LSU style of play with more all around athletes

Other than the one white guy for Illinois, the shooting is horrific.

The offense in general has been horrible all tournament minus a handful of games.
