I'm starting to get hyped for this weekend. It's a bummer this didn't start last night. I would love to get blackout drunk and watch Michigan tonight. These lines all look tough. I will probably play FSU as an emotional hedge and Bama. But, I am not confident in anything.

We’ll see how Michigan does but I feel like Florida State would’ve been a terrible matchup for us. I had a Wisconsin 2000 vibe about that potential matchup.

That would have been interesting. Two very athletic squads, LSU with better offense, FSU with better defense. I see this is making the rounds.

Bunk I think the S16 is harder to bet than the opening round. Because you’ve seen teams and think you know what they’ll do. But all momentum has just been stopped and teams also have seen all your gadgets

I do appreciate that there aren’t games on at the same time during the round of 16 this year. I hope that’s a permanent change. I wish they would have pulled the game schedule ahead by an hour instead of having the late game tip off at 10pm local time. Seems kind of unnecessary when you’re waiting until almost 3pm to start the first game.

Yeah having games at 8:40 at night when there is no reason is stupid.

Oregon/SC is the best game of the weekend and it starts Sunday at 9:30 eastern.

Yeah I can’t bitch too much in that situation because that’s prime time for their fans but wtf with games being played until midnight on Sunday. Does nobody have to go to work anymore and I just missed the memo?

Anyone else think this year’s tournament is snoozeville to the max? First off, the weird day changes are a damn nightmare. Why did they have to change the dates because of COVID? Is it venue driven with the women or something? Really hope it’s not permanent as it suuuucks.

More importantly, though, no blue bloods sucks. As a casual basketball fan, at best, there’s just no intrigue without seeing the typical brand name teams in the field. Still gonna watch the game, but feels so weird without the UNC, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, etc of the world to root for / against.

Disagree. I'd rather have new and up and coming teams like Bama, Arkansas, Oregon, Baylor, Houston, Oregon State in this than Duke, Kentucky, UNC. That's the whole wonder of march madness- any team can win if they show up, not just your blue bloods.

Awaiting the syracuse game tonight. Even if it screws up my bracket, hoping the orange can make a run if we can beat Houston and the winner of Loyola/Oregon State.

I worry about Houston's athleticism against Syracuse. Can Syracuse stay out of foul trouble and rebound? I think it will be tough.

Cuse will have to knock down threes. All there is to it.

How is everyone betting today?

Spreads are pretty big for most of the games.

I think Nova keeps it close with Baylor

#metoo

Houston will have had all week to prep for playing against the zone so if they learn to get it to the guy by the foul line and drive to the basket we're going to pick up a lot of fouls. Considering Houston almost lost to Rutgers, I'll say anything can happen

Eh, I feel like it’s cool when one of those teams are going up against a Duke, Kentucky, UNC, not when they’re going up against each other.

Gonzaga tomorrow has obviously reached a next level, but today I’m not sure if any game would really feel like a true upset, mainly because none of these teams have proven anything or done anything of note.
