UConn is a P5 school who got kicked out of the club, they aren't a midmajor just because they are forced to hang out with them.

UNLV really wasn’t a mid major. Mid Majors wasn’t a thing until they formed the “powers”. I consider Mid Majors teams that don’t have any FBS teams in the conference. Big West PCAA was on same level as FBS

Not at all, I'm just saying that every year P5 schools end up on top and that takes away from the "March Madness" aspect

Having a Cinderella win at least gives some excitement/"hope" for a long time.

By real definition of Mid Major the last one to win was Villanova 2 years ago. Football is either FCS or they’re 1-AAA

I agree, but my point was more that the major conferences have absolutely dominated the championship of the tournament.

Wouldn't be bad to have a non traditional team win it all

I guess I'd consider basketball "P5" programs as being a team that was invited/participated in one of the following conferences in the past 10-15 years.

-Big East
-Big12
-Big10
-SEC
-Pac12
-ACC



Basically, a program that is generally considered a top program and worthy of inclusion in the top. UConn for example was a power conference member for awhile and their football program is what is killing them from being included in the BigEast right nwo
