As of mid-June, there were 43 deaths in the U.S. for those 24 or younger. There have been flu seasons with many more times the number of fatalities in that age group. Lol what a bunch of mediocre clowns we have running the institutions in this country.

Covid is a total fraud. some political BS if CFB cant be played this fall

Even if we played constant testing and players missing games due to quarantining would make for the biggest asterik in sports history. Decision makers will opt to skip the season to avoid a watered down product. No product is better than a bad product when protecting branding.
I fully expect the NFL to rig the testing system in order to avoid this situation. Would be impossible to do such a thing on the collegiate level.

Thank God for the NCAA....with out them a team might try to practice in a poorly ventilated indoor facility

Can’t even give my drawing skills a citation

That will be an issue for them to consider if they move the season to Spring.. How do you have 2 seasons in the same calendar year? Going to be a lot of injuries if they do that.

Wait, so if you play in a game...you have to be quarantined for 14 days.
Pretty much every LSU defensive lineman, any blitzing DB on the left side, and anyone attempting to get off one of his blocks on a run play will probably have to quarantine for ~2 weeks.
That’s LSU’s entire defense pretty much.
The same week Ben David tests positive..
Everyone he tackled on LSU’s offense is out for 14 days.
Y’all probably wouldn’t feel that one much, but you know what I’m saying.

So the conferences have been doing their own thing
Now the NCAA finally speaks
It’s time for the power 5 to go it alone
The ncaa is no longer a viable way to manage and govern collegiate sports at the d1 level

Amateur athletes being subject to exposure, in my opinion, isn’t right. I know some of y’all will blast me for this, that’s fine.
What I’m saying is that we could use this as an excuse to finally pay these guys. Them taking added* risk (added to normal injury) so that others can make a lot of money isn’t right.

You think the people controlling these schools aren’t liberal pieces of shite who will gladly do their part to make the USA seem like the worst place on earth in order to remove Trump.
That’s cute.

So it gets moved to the spring and then all the top players sit out? Great
Honestly, I'm doubting Spring happens either.
Back in March, I never thought we'd still be in this shite 4 months later. I hope I'm wrong but I'm not confident.

Time for football's P5 to form their own league void of the ncaa.
Legit, why do they need them anyway?

How many times does this have to be said. The fear isn't of young healthy people dying from this. The fear is for young healthy people passing it on to others (older coaching staff, professors, parents, grandparents) who's immune system will not as easily fight this off.

The kids, businesses, and peoples lives y’all are ruining by preaching for the shutdown in order to protect are begging to be allowed to go back to their lives

They use whatever it takes to instill the needed fear. They only shift to the “protecting the parents/teachers argument” when they are talking to someone who realizes this is almost zero threat to the students themselves

We have such a weak society.

Are we talking about actually dying from it? Not many. Certainly not many under the age of 25, that’s gotta be less Ray Lewis’ body count.
