Smaller schools usually don’t. Depends on the budget

The number of HRs has been increasing drastically. It has surpassed the gorilla ball days which I didn’t think was possible. 1.17 hrs per game in 2024 and it was 1.08 in 1998. The pros use wood, and so should college.
"Hey, nobody likes all these home runs! Change it and stop the madness."
Said one person, ever.

I would like that just for the sound, but there is not enough quality wood out there to make that number of bats.

Watch pro ball if you want wood bats.
Dont take this sport from me.

not to mention the bats already replicate wood from a energy transfer and are tested to make sure they do
not the standard compression test done before each game isnt the best but still decently close to wood
and wood is just way way too much money overall for college baseball, watch the pros if you want that

The cost has always been the reason that has not and will not ever happen.

that part of the reason Bryce Harper went to Southern Nevada?
Yup, he wanted to play in a wooden bat league.
