I think that is kind of the point. With Stanley Johnson, Marcus Morris, and Tobias Harris, there can be a lot of versatility at the 2-4 spots. This is something they didn't really have with Ilyasova.
I am somewhat surprised that the Pistons didn't look at Markieff, who has a friendly contract. From what I can guess, SVG did not want to part with a first-rounder.

Harris is just blocking Mario Hezonja and Aaron Gordon at this point and Jennings being an expiring allows Orlando to extend Evan Fournier and still have room for another max FA. Channing Frye is probably on the way out before the deadline so Ilyasova is a good fit just to sit on the 3 point line and spread the floor for everyone else.
Value definitely benefits Detroit if Harris continues to develop but it makes sense for both teams.

Definitely think Orlando's motivation here is to get minutes for guys they like better. But you would think they should have gotten something more for Harris.
