He’s really Yoda out there on the court, once he elevates the defensive intensity fivefold in the ‘offs the Cavs become SCARY to play against

As long as he stays in the east, you are right he will have his way. After his comments on breaking up the conferences and seeding 1-16 it’s evident he has little if any intention of going to the west. Philly is the overwhelming favourite imo.

Just heard on Zach lowe podcast okc is comparing themselves to the ‘95 rockets. Think because the Dream and CC won the title from the 6 seed that they can do it too. Bless your heart OKC.

There should only be three teams with odds even listed TBH

I’d put TOR up there. They would give both GSW and HOU a better series than Cleveland would. Lebron is in those guys heads. Lebron doesn’t have the mental edge over HOU and GSW. Those teams won’t fold up like TOR.

They just don’t get it, winny. Things will be bleak this offseason when melon opts in and Paulie George bounces.

On paper, yes. But Toronto does that thing where they don't show up in the playoffs when it matters most.

I don't think Toronto has a chance tbh. Derozan will be there, but Lowry and Ibaka are gonna disappear.

Did you hear Lowe, I think with Howard Beck talking about Lebron's legit MVP case? Not that he would win, but his case...

Lowe also said he reached out to the advanced metrics gurus to find out Harden's defense is still below average and Lebron graded out as "good."

It was interesting stuff, if you're into that sort of thing from Lowe.

I don’t know who Zach reached out to but personally I favour Ben when it comes to defensive metrics.

LINK

B= 75 percentile = above average by a lot

Let me guess, it's a rerun where Boom favors the guy who props up Harden?

Amirite...

I doubt anyone would argue that Lowe has more clout than Ben.

It's completely obvious that LeGOAT should have more than 4 MVPs in his illustrious and dominant career, it's completely obvious that the media (who vote for these things) shouldn't be anointing MVPs way before the regular season concludes. That being said, I completely understand the logic behind James over LeGOAT despite that LeGOAT's having one of the best offensive seasons of his entire career at age 33 and has the Cavs on pace to duplicate last season's W-L record: James is having an elite dominant season, his team's the best in the league and he leads that team, and he's making substantial impact in terms of pop culture relevance with his commercials, his beard, and status as an emerging "Face of the NBA." I hate it because it means LeGOAT won't be winning his 5th which would be completely justified this season, but it makes sense so I can accept it.

He is not propping him up. He is at the top of the analytics game and wrote an article to help the casual fans see that James defense is not a weakness, those who watch CC know that.

Wow love seeing stuff like this come out.

I love butler one of my favorite players. Bc he has the dog in him. Plays hard. And then I see this:

quote:

"You can't measure heart and determination."

Counter: according to @SecondSpectrum, Jimmy Butler averages more miles per hour getting back on D in transition than any Timberwolves rotation player and also ranks 1st among every All-Star from this seaso

nba is the best thing out there these days.

Like I said, I'll take Lowe and the guys he trusts on advanced metrics.

You love to bring up Lowe...until it doesn't help the Harden agenda.

I have a question... why do you sometimes spell words like "favor" and "color" like a foreigner and spell it as "favour" and "colour"? Like here:

Alamar is the director of analytics at ESPN. One of if not the most respected names in basketball analytics.

And sometimes he'll replace the word "muster" with "mustard," I hope that's intentional otherwise I'd seriously have to reconsider Boom's capacity and intelligence when it comes to sports arguments and arguments in general. Just sayin.
