Damn referees giving Shai Gilgeous-Alexander all the calls. If you take away all his free throws the Thunder are only winning by 30

That means nothing at this point.. playoff basketball is different.

The Pacers won’t be able to keep up either.
Pacers offense is no joke, and they're playing great defense in the postseason.
People have been dismissive of Indiana literally the entire season, and it's wild to me that they still are, despite them preparing to make the NBA Finals while beating the dogshit out of everyone along the way. Not sure what they can do to get respect at this point.

Its not mentioned here but the Denver series is where OKC players grew up. That was a tough series and they learned a lot at young ages. That then helped in game 4 when they got the lead, could never extend past 10 and held it the whole game. Even with Wolves playing great ball and getting great bench play.
So we owe Denver gratitude. That was the marque matchup so far. Indy is a damn good team with a great coach. But if OKC closes this out I think the Indy style plays into OKC style.
Over the last 2 years:
Indy: #1 Offense
OKC: #1 Defense
That will be a great test if D vs O. Assuming both close out, nothing is given yet.

December 26: OKC 120-114 at Indy
March 29: OKC 132-111 at home
For those looking ahead to what looks to be the inevitable matchup.

Can indiana be competitive with okc in the finals
I think Indiana and OKC actually match up pretty well for an interesting series. Not saying they'll win. But might be more exciting than these 2 conference finals have been.
Turner and Siakam are both athletic enough to play with Hartenstein and Holmgren's play styles, unlike Gobert. Both are threats to score inside and outside. Minnesota has been completely unable to score at the rim in this series.
Nembhart/Halliburton/Mathurin/Nesmith are young and athletic enough to match up with Shai/Williams/Dort/Wallace/Caruso. There's no offensive or defensive liability for Indiana like Conley and Gobert have both been during this series. McDaniel cannot provide his own offense, so basically OKC has just locked up Ant all series with Dort and Caruso and nobody else has been able to do anything, other than the one game where McDaniels/Divincenzo/Alexander Walker all got hot and scored 20+

Gobert had been a worthless playoff player for years.

I’ll take OKC over the pacers but it could very well go 7

The one NBA team (pre-stupidity) that was designed to beat OKC was Dallas. Who is sitting at home for the playoffs.
Nobody on OKC could consistently stop Luka. Too big of a size advantage for Caruso or Dort to really give him big problems. Ant relies so much on quickness and athleticism that they've been able to stop him. Luka relies on change of pace, strength, and the stepback...so their style of defense doesn't bother him as bad. Plus having shooters like Washington, Kyrie, and Klay floating around and legit lob threats to stop helpers...he was a tough draw when the whole team was healthy.
Kyrie is a mismatch for anybody other than Dort or Caruso, and they were always busy with Luka.
Lively and Gafford are good enough down low to give Chet problems when he helps on the drives, and athletic enough to step out and guard him some. Gobert can't do that.
PJ Washington has been the Thunder's kryptonite the last 2 years. He's long and athletic enough to give Shai problems and I don't know what it is, but he has been unstoppable against OKC for some reason.
Had Dallas just kept it all together, they probably sneak into the playoffs and make a little run. They were tailor made to beat OKC and Minnesota. The team in the west that would give them a problem was Denver..avoid them and got a chance. Then of course Boston, and they're gone too.

The Thunder-Mav rivalry was a thing in the making, however they blew it.
