This seems a little defensive after watching Trae’s last playoff series.
He had a helluva playoffs last season. And a very good regular season this year. The Heat D was just too good for him.

The Mavs are playing well with him, and the players stepped up without him. Brunson has taken the next step. I still think they need to pursue a guy like Rudy Gobert to win a title, but it’s hard to argue against Luka’s 63 points in 2 games back. Game 4 in Utah he was probably 85% and dropped 30. Series really should be over if Dwight Powell hits a free throw.
