They both struggled. Neither were anywhere close to good enough. Run it back in game 6. Bridges destroyed BI/CJ.

Alvarado and Val were awesome.

Not when you have 4 3pt shooters out on the court at all times. Phx doesn't want to bang the paint. New Orleans does

The Suns have had more points in the paint than the Pelicans for 3 straight games now lol

It’s funny that you would ask him if he watched the game when he was 100% right. The Suns very rarely drive into our bigs and when they did they got quite a few foul calls. They did it a lot in the first quarter and barely at all after that. After that they avoided contact inside like the plague for the most part and focused on shifty movements and fadeaways

The Suns shot 5 Free Throws in the 1st quarter. Y’all are talking out your behind.

The problem is that he does not have a 2nd superstar/scorer to take the pressure off of him and the offense runs completely through him.

The same has been chirped far and wide about Dallas for a couple years too when Luka ascended. Who has been a super star for the Dallas Mavericks? Brunson is a great player about to get paid, but he’s still no super star. This is the best basketball he’s ever played so far. He will probably become a 20-21 PPG guy. Kristaps never did shite in Dallas, Tim Hardaway Jr. has been out most of the season, etc. Laughable to act like the Mavericks roster is some showtime Lakers roster, they play great defense. Luka is ten fold over that bitch arse Trae Young. Hell Trae Young has had more talent around him his NBA career than Luka has. That’s a fact. Young is nowhere near Luka’s level. Luka is a top 2-3 player in the world when this season ends.

Who said the Mavericks had a showtime Lakers roster? You’re doing an awful lot of projecting there. Brunson is playing at a level of a two guy right now that Trae has never had. The Mavericks also won two games without Luka. You don’t have to bash the rest of the team to prop up your boy. Trae was shite in the playoffs, no doubt. He’s also proven he can be a superstar in the playoffs. These guys have a long way to go in their careers. Hawks had guys step up at times but not a clear #2 guy. You should be happy Brunson is turning into that at this point.

This Trae vs. Luka bitchfest has gotten stale at this point. I'd say both teams won "The Trade."

You guys can argue and deflect all you want, but when is the last time a top player has ever had a series this bad?

I guess Bridges dunking, Johnson dunking, Paul trying layups, Payne trying layups (several which he was slammed on the head) doesn’t matter to you.

Who's deflecting? I think we're all admitting he had a horrible series. It's not unfair or deflecting to say Trae played like shite and the Hawks need a number 2 guy. Both can be true.

I'm saying that the comparisons to Luka and needing a 2nd star are a cop out.

If Trae had averaged 35 ppg and the Hawks dropped the series then yea it'd be the same. When it comes to "winning" both players could use more help. That's fair.

But we aren't necessarily talking about winning. We are talking about Trae having a historically bad playoff series where he had games scoring 8, 9, and 11 points.

That is inexcusable and has absolutely nothing to do with his teammates. Good players fill up the stat sheet on bad teams All. The. Time.

Dude you just aren’t listening to what I said. Bridges dunk was contested on Ingram. That’s the only one of those things you mentioned that had contact outside of the 4th quarter. There’s a difference between driving into contact and driving in an open lane

And only 20 for the whole game. 8 of which I believe came in the 4th quarter from bonus. So if you do the math, yes they drove into contact more in the 1st than any other quarter.

Y’all act like the Suns are a high FTA team in general

A cop out for what? No one is even pretending like he didn't have a disastrous series. Winning is the point of it all. My point is that Trae has proven in the playoffs that he can be a superstar. That doesn't excuse him playing horrible. I'm just saying he's done it before and won while doing it.

A part of the problem is that some of you get so caught up in this Trae v Luka thing. I'm a Hawks fan, not a Trae Young fan. I don't give a shite about which player is "better" as long as the Hawks are winning games because that's ultimately what players are judged on anyway.
