The Trail Blazers have pivoted away from pursuing a trade for Jaylen Brown after acquiring Ja Morant, per @ShamsCharania . Portland views Morant as their big move, even with it creating a massive glut of guards in their rotation
A lot of mouths to feed at the guard positions. And they don’t have the defensive prowess nor the alien at c to back them up

The Clippers and Raptors are currently haggling over draft compensation as the final hurdle before agreeing to a trade involving Kawhi Leonard.
Toronto is only willing to offer a 1st-round pick, while Los Angeles wants multiple that are far out in the future.

Trade Klaw then trade for Brown please

About three or four years ago, who would have guessed Ja’s return would have been less than Bane’s?

Not one good player and a bunch of useless picks

Jose Alvarado signs 3/14 with the Knicks…
Knicks also resigned Mo Diawara who might be their secret weapon for them next year.
James Dolan said they didn’t want to get into the second apron but their front office is pushing for it to bring back Landry Shamet and Mitchell Robinson.
Mitch has been linked to offers by the Lakers and Nets… if Knicks don’t go into the second apron their offer won’t compete with other teams who will offer the full MLE
Landry Shamet gets 4/24 from NYK… the Deandre Ayton and Day’ron Sharpe news matters to Mitch because the Lakers and Nets were two of the main suitors for him, keeping guys who would be close to his role.
Maybe the money for Mitch will come from KAT foregoing some money from the 4/272 he’s eligible to get soon. KAT is scheduled to make $57M next year and then has a player option for $61M in 27-28… it’s well known that Jalen Brunson left money on the table on his last extension, and Captain Clutch is extension eligible in 2028, only making $37M and $40M the next two seasons.

There's no chance the Lakers can make that work and pay Lebron $30 mil again next year right?

Realistically impossible. He would have to hold a gun to the Pistons head and he prefers Sacramento anyway

The Pacers are expected to pursue Kelly Oubre Jr. when free agency begins, per @TheSteinLine
.
After trading away Bennedict Mathurin, Oubre would be a great fit in Indiana’s fast-paced system as an athletic bench scorer.

The Mavericks have emerged a leading suitor to acquire Detroit's Marcus Sasser via trade, league sources tell @TheSteinLine.

On top of the full non-taxpayer MLE and a $20.3M TPE via the Anthony Davis trade, Dallas also generated a $6 million trade exception by trading away Jaden Hardy. Sasser's $5.2M salary for next season could slot into it.

The Suns are targeting Luke Kennard once free agency begins, per m @Gambo987
.
After trading Grayson Allen for Miles Bridges, Kennard would slide right into Phoenix’s rotation as their new sharpshooter.
