Can you imagine the injury management they will have. Might get 82 games combined out of them. And fans buying tix will miss them playing often and end up as a PR problem.

LeBron James will not leave the Lakers for the Warriors in free agency unless they trade for Anthony Davis, per @ShamsCharania.

If Golden State pulls it off, there’s a good chance LeBron will join Stephen Curry to make a title run.

This sounds similar to the Paul George trade where KL said he would inly go to Clips if they got PG.

Evan Sidery
@esidery

Anthony Davis holds immense leverage in this situation as well entering into the final guaranteed year of his contract.

If Davis requests a trade from the Wizards, a place he never once played, they would have to acquiesce to recoup immediate assets from the Warriors.

@esidery

Rich Paul met with the Wizards yesterday to discuss Anthony Davis’ future with the franchise, per @WindhorstESPN

Paul is also the agent for LeBron James and Draymond Green.

The wheels are now in motion from every angle for the Warriors to land both LeBron and Davis soon.

Would GSW make a similar mistake?

I really don't see GSW being true Finals contenders even if they pull this off.

The casuals will love it. And if this was 5 years ago it'd be great. But Curry and Lebron missed a good portion of the year last year. Horford is old as frick too, Draymond offensively isn't near as productive as he was and their bench is really a bunch of nobodies and Yaxel ( if he doesn't start)

This move just keeps them in 4-8 place imo and that's if they stay healthy.

This just makes me think this all a ploy by Rich Paul to get everyone more money cause he's the agent for all of them.

AD stays
LeBron stays
Draymond new contract.

The Raptors have the necessary salaries on their roster to potentially acquire both Kawhi Leonard and Ja Morant, if they so desire:

Toronto: Kawhi + Ja

Clippers: Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, draft compensation

Grizzlies: Immanuel Quickley + Jakob Poeltl

Show me one sport isn’t dramatic.

And every sport has corrupt front offices because they work for the owners not the fans.

NFL, MLB, WNBA, NASCAR and every other sport has drama. Even Golf has it.

Think the Lakers while definitely rather having LeBron wouldn't be too broken up over having a little more room to work with since we really are in a crunch this summer

Shams Charania
@ShamsCharania

Free agent center Thomas Bryant intends to sign a one-year deal to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources tell ESPN. Bryant averaged 12.2 minutes and 6.2 points over 60 games for the Cavs, who worked with Mark Bartelstein and Zach Kurtin of @PrioritySports on the new contract.

LA needs full on getting defense for this new Luca/Austin duo.

Ayton is a bandaid on an artery wound.

Do y'all want Rui back? Spurs could get him but idk if I like that over keeping Julian Champagne.

Chris Haynes
@ChrisBHaynes

Los Angeles Clippers guard Bradley Beal will decline his $5.6M player option and become an unrestricted free agent, league sources tell me.

Beal should've taken that money. Given his history I don't see a team willing to pay him more.

Edit: I forgot about Miami, whose probably going to be a landing place for a lot of these vet guards that will be available.

Also, most teams work hard for a player who will decline to find a team for a sign and trade. They want to get some value and by letting them walk they get no value - when most gave up value to obtain.

Once they walk they get zero back

I can’t imagine that AD is the kinda person that would tell his current team that he wants a trade and will only go to one other team. That doesn’t seem like him.

He never played even one game for Washington ao doesn’t have same loyalty as others might. But you make a good point. Its all about deals and if this helps Wash going forward. They need to get a good deal out of this and hold all the cards. In multi-team trades just one player can help holding team get max return.
