So is $9 M/ yr the new mini-mid level exception? This is getting out of hand & im trying to wrap my brain around it w/out using a calculator because then I feel I would care too much

Edit: We Mavs fans are a salty bunch right now. We know these players are using us a leverage to get more $ & aren't coming here and years of this is pissing us off

9M is 7% of the cap, probably the going rate for a 7th/8th man

So probably closer to the $5M full mid level exception in the old CBA. Or 5.5M or whatever. Thanks for the info

Woj said $52m. I like the move, but it is a slight overpay. Probably worth it.

Cuban needs to to shite or get off the pot.

Either let Donnie be the GM or fire him and take full responsibility for everything.

I'm tired of them hiding behind the multi voiced GMing like "triangle of trust" and "four pillars" when their plan of "frick the 3 ducks I have in hand, let's go after that big arse turkey I see in that bush 500 yards over that way!" inevitably blows up in Cuban's face.

It's freaking crazy how much these dudes are getting paid compared to like 2 years ago. 13 mil for Sol Hill would have been 6-7 mil in 2014.

I'm beginning to wonder if the correlation between quality of bball top to bottom in the league isn't going down b/c of 1 & done rule in college,

but b/c mediocre players get crazy guaranteed money past 10 years, and have no incentive to put that HOF level effort in the gym to get better anymore.

Motivation may not be as strong.

fricking this^^^ at least Jerry Jones owns it when he screws up.

You're right. They act like its a massive group think, but someone is pushing the detonate button on final decisions, & they blew up a championship team, made a mockery with Lamar and Rondo , and wasted Dirk's last few years.

I'm pissed. He deserves better since he puts his $ where his mouth is in wanting to win

Indy could have had Solomon Hill for less than $2M this year.

Was hoping that the Grizz could get him with their remaining 9-10.

This. We overpaid, but not by even close to as much as some other teams have for their players today. Would have liked him for 10, but 13 is nothing to really bitch about.

Earlier reported deal for Solomon Hill in New Orleans: $48 million over four years, sources say, with incentives to hit to pass $50 million.

Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham

was from when I was debating about how Sumlin had no choice in taking Murray and that taking Stidham would have led to him being fired as A&M would have still been 8-5 at best b/c kid wasn't a world beater as a freshman
