Nah, he just says dumb shite like this

quote:

Tbt luc was CCs best perimeter defender this year. he was not available v warriors bc of shoulder separation. He is equal to Ariza from three if not better. To plug him in to that spot and it is not a ‘big loss’ never mind that CC is gonna get a starting caliber SF in FA. ...

Then cherry picks a zach Lowe article like we don't read it. It's all a bad spin job by him.

Still waiting on that starting caliber sf bubba. And according to you Rox losing their best perimeter defender.

Bad bad offseason by Rox so far.

Look, I don't like knee jerk arguments like all championships are equal, but you aren't an all time team with no rings.
I mean, I’m not saying I agree or disagree, but an argument could be made.

The only reason why they don’t have a ring is because they faced another all-time team and lost.

There have only been 20 teams in nba history that’s have won at least 65 games in a season. The Rockets were one of them, and lost in game 7 of the conference finals to a legitimate all-time team.

We will have to revisit this opinion in April.

And there is more than one way to build a team. You keep thinking Ariza has to be “replaced” by a carbon copy and fill in the same role. That doesn’t have to be the case.

Which i'm fine with doing. But you got another Rox guy in this thread saying they will "cement themselves as an all time team" next season when all of their moves so far have indicated the exact opposite.

I would say losing the Durant stopper would leave a pretty huge void regardless of who replaces him iyam

Basically, the Ariza/LRMM minutes are now going to Ennis and probably Melo?

How is that not a step down? I'm confused.

I’m not sure this exists, and if it does Ariza isn’t it. He averaged ~30ppg on pretty efficient shooting in the series

I feel like Luc was better suited to it if he had been healthy. There was no way they were keeping Ariza, so if they had kept Luc and replaced Ariza with Ennis I would actually feel pretty good since Luc was hurt and a nonfactor in the playoffs. Losing both hurts

If y'all see Ariza as a "Durant stopper", then I can see why y'all are making the loss of Ariza to be such a huge deal.

It's clear who here is not really informed about the team. Edit: And if Boom said that, he was trolling.

Ariza was a fine role player, but he's not irreplaceable.

It's also possible that the Rockets make a trade during the season for a wing player on an expiring or bad contract such as Demarre Carroll, Kent Bazemore, Courtney Lee, Nic Batum, etc. Who knows.
