There are rumors coming from Russell Westbrook's barber that Westbrook is throwing a party tonight to celebrate PG re-signing with OKC

OKC’s extremely emotional reporter Royce Young says George is supposed to be in OKC tonight.

Meanwhile, PG is still scheduled to be at a charity basketball game in LA

Tells us the league has taken note of his off court antics last season.

1. George spurning him to stay in lolKC
2. CP3 spurning him to stay in CC
3. Hardwn not recruiting him to CC at all. Not even a little.

Shane Young @YoungNBA OKC is about to have a payroll of ~$250 million after tax penalties next year — maybe more — if Paul George returns and they don’t buy out Melo. Assume that’s re-signing Grant, too. Just to win 45-50 games and lose in the first round again? Super YIKES

Bobby Marks did the salary cap thing on ESPN just now and OKC will basically be paying $96 million for George this season if he re-signs for the $30 million max

They're filming a ESPN 3 part special and he ends up going back to OKC? That doesn't compute.

Seems like they're just trying to drum up some drama since people thought LA was a done deal.

Yeah, the Suns have the best young core in the league. I agree.

that was far from the worst part. Had it on in the background and I heard him say it was gonna cost OKC over $100 million alone just for Carmelo opting into his final yr. That's nuts

Paul George is eligible for a 5-year, $176M deal this summer, but a 1+1 or 2+1 would give him more control over his future. Either would also allow him flexibility to become a free agent in two summers, eligible for a 35% max... But he’d be 30, and starting salary would be ~$40M.

If he’s on a minimum or near minimum and he’s the 4th big it’s fine. Assuming Cousins comes back he won’t be playing any kind of regular minutes until the ASB.

But still, if he’s getting paid any more than that I might lose my shite.
