Pel what do you think the return would be for you if we just ran it and you kept all the empty teams. Assign random order to those who sign up, let us pick the team we want and you keep everything left?

I just am pacing the amount I do per month.. i might do one here tho..if you throw these spots on eBay you will clear way more than $69 each.. like way more. So maybe give more time between sign up to break so you utilize alternative ways to sell the spots

The whole point of doing it on TD in the first place was to hang out with the MSB folk and let everyone have some fun etc. I could do what you're mentioning but it kind of defeats the purpose of starting it here and giving people an outlet to talk about/show off cards and consolidate the thread while keeping it interactive. It's why I put my own time and resources into it. But not much I can do.

If it doesn't go (or even if it does), I'm gonna throw out a survey for people to see if there's still interest in continuing, what sport, what price range, what day for breaks, etc...

There's so little feedback except for people saying thank you and being nice, which has made all this fulfilling and fun to keep going with. I need to know the other side too though.

eBay takes 10% of all sales by the way. Breaking over there would be rough without a distributor contact, which I'm working on. Signing up as one isn't that simple. My goal has always been to try to get people their monies worth as much as possible.

My main hesitation is I still don't have a great grasp on this thing. I'm a gambler not a collector so my entire enjoyment is trying to land a card that can make me money rather than just landing a rare card to collect.

It's kind of like going into a casino and playing a table game that you don't understand the rules.

I am not sure if others are in this for collecting or gambling but I still am not sure what my expectations are.

I have no problem busting and hitting anything of value. I'm just curious how easy it is to collect on something if I do hit.

Does any of this make sense?

More 3:! than 7 game but def higher than 3:1. I mean 7 game parlay is almost impossible unless you're teasing it lol. I don't mind helping people sell their big hits. There's just a big difference between an Isiah Thomas auto vs bellinger auto for instance. If the card looks like it's in great shape, you can grade it and the value can skyrocket on certain cards with great grades. I wish I'd known that before selling some cards on eBay.

Pel - No issues at all on my first two breaks. I throughly have enjoyed it. I am just kind of saying where I am coming from and wondering if some others are too. I'll decide by morning if I am in!
