Nerlens Noel finishes with 19 points on 6-11 shooting and 7-7 Free throws. 4 steals, 2 blocks...heck of a performance. Looked great all game

Bosh sucks and everyone is better than him in every facet of the game according to the hornet. Don't you see that??

He's not a great rebounder.
He's not a great defender.
First off, he is a great defender. He might not block many shots, but that doesn't make someone a great defender. Also, his rebounds per game has fallen because he plays further from the rim. His advanced rebounding stats show that he is just as good as before he joined the Heat.
On the other hand...

Bosh deserves to make more money than all of them. Are all of those bad contracts? Sure.
Asik is making $15m this year because he only made about $5m each of the last two seasons. Its more appropriate to look at his cap hit which has been about $8m. Dwight is better and more valuable than Bosh. That really shouldn't be a debate. So those are terrible comparisons. Lopez is making about what Bosh should be making, so maybe that's your only good example. Amare (and Boozer) are probably good examples as to why you shouldn't give Bosh a lot of money. Amare had 1-2 great seasons and broke down. Boozer has never been worth the money.

I would love to discuss how vastly underrated bosh is but I agree with rtr. Let's keep this thread about free agency. Make another thread to discuss that other stuff if you care. If not, don't worry about it

I don't like the trade for the Pels. It's not Noel for Holiday that bothers me. It was giving up an additional first round pick.
But, I don't think the pels got trade raped by any means.

Here's something that remains unchanged: Danny Ainge's relentless pursuit of creative ways to engage Minnesota on a Kevin Love deal.

Pat Riley pitched today how Miami was a good fit for Luol Deng. But Deng can't commit unless/until he knows how much money Wade/Bosh will take. Sides will talk again next week.

Riley was "very charming," per source, and visit had the feel of a college recruiting trip. But it's all about the dollars at this point.

Meanwhile, while Chris Bosh's reps know the potential lay of the financial land league wide, there are no plans for meeting teams for now.

I may be in the minority in saying this, but I think Chris Bosh should go to Houston regardless of what LeBron James does.
1. I think it's clear that Wade's best days are over. Harden's is just beginning and I think Dwight Howard's career is in a better position than Wade's is.
2. Bosh could fill multiple roles with Houston. He could play the four with Dwight on the floor. He could still play that perimeter game and he'll have more space inside with Howard getting more attention. He could also play the five when Howard's not on the court.
3. Like Florida, Texas has no income tax. Houston could offer him a max deal with the same, friendly tax climate that Florida has.
Overall, Houston is a much better position roster-wise and financially. They are in the West, meaning that making the Finals is significantly more difficult.
That said, if I'm Chris Bosh, I'm heading to Houston.
