I won't be surprised to see him step up his game a lot.

Derrick Rose will play more than him.

Okay, Probably not. Still, he doesn't play enough to make that much. He needs to take less, and give the Heat some financial flexibility to compete before he retires.

He didn't have to play or gut it out. It's a little different being the guy than being second fiddle

Just to clarify my statement: I realize there's not a lot of credible support for that claim, but he is the face of the heat. Equivalent to Kobe getting what he got. Not saying it's right but you won't put asses in the stands without him.

Wade will sell jerseys and tickets. He's alpha again, I won't be surprised to see him step up his game a lot.... Maybe not for 5 seasons but two years left of great ball. I can see it.

The Heat fanbase may still be loyal to Wade, but cmon, he is not worth that money. Look at how Kobe's contract is killing his team.

Wade isn't worth a max. It's not worth even debating

If he is THE guy then that team isn't making the playoffs.

To that Bosh/Rockets point, the @BovadaLV odds post James decision on NBA title are now 8-1 for Houston, 50-1 for Heat. Cavs lead at 4-1.

So Houston is 8-1 without Bosh?

I didn't say he's worth it in terms of value, but how will Miami sell tickets? Without wade or bosh?

I would imagine that 8-1 is presuming the things we all are with Bosh joining and Parsons staying

If the Heat are bad next year, they'll struggle to put butts in the seats with or without him.

First, how many Heat fans that would want a Wade jersey haven't bought one yet? Same to Bosh to a lesser degree. And how do jersey sales put people in the seats? Are they going to give away free tickets if you buy a jersey?

Ray Allen is such a pathetic ring chaser.

But he totally deserves credit for Miami's championship last year, so good for him.
