Can someone give me a little info on the Rockets situation.
Bosh and Howard are both 20+ mill a year
Harden and Parson are both 15+ mill a year.
So that's 70 mill gone pecan for the next 3-4 years.
So.. how are they going to sign anyone else ever?

That kind of sucks. Haywood would have been a decent backup center and contract was great.

Chandler Parsons doesn't count against cap space because we have his Bird rights as a restricted free agent. This only happens if we sign him last though. And the 72-hour clock started ticking when the Mavs gave Houston the offer sheet.
But in order for Parsons not to count, we have to sign him last. This is the hard part. Morey has to make room for Bosh before the clock expires. Lin is gone, Asik is close to gone.
But the Rockets will have pretty much zero flexibility after that. It will be similar to Miami. Convincing veterans to come for MLE and finding diamonds in the rough (which Morey can do).

Lebron just came back home. I wouldn't be worrying about a backup center right now.

Which is why I don't understand teams helping them so quickly

Well Im more worried about his contract for trades. He had a 10 million expiring cap hit for next year.

Yea, I didn't think he'd play. That 10m expiring was going to be a nice piece though.

Lot of smoke coming out on social media about Gasol being close to a deal with OKC.
I'm not buying it until I see a top trusted source report it.

Would be a hell of a deal.
Gasol, Ibaka, Westbrook, KD
Dwight, Bosh, Parsons, Beard
Then you have the Spurs with everyone coming back.

@ESPNSteinLine 51s
For those asking: I'm told Alonzo Gee will indeed wind up in New Orleans and Brendan Haywood deal with Charlotte is a separate deal for Cavs

Westbrook
Reggie Jackson
KD
Ibaka
Gasol
Off the bench:
Lamb
Telfair
Adams
Perkins
PJ3
McGary (has looked awesome in Summer League)
That would be the best top to bottom lineup in the West IMO. Followed closely by Rockets, Spurs, and Clippers.
