You realize that makes no sense right?

if we are trying to argue KD belongs in the GOAT discussion, then absolutely his legacy took a hit.

It still wouldn't make any sense if he still put up big numbers as an individual.

when he was completely absent from the team, they won 55 games. was he still making them better from a AA dugout?

, but MJ had way more talented teammates than lebron has ever had. I would never choose any team LJ has brought to the finals over the bulls in the 90s
Bingo.

Most people get too far into the debate on either end, when the simple answer is MJ is the GOAT AND his casts were much better than Lebron's.

But but but he'll never be Kobe or MJ because he isn't selfish enough. Or at least that has always been the narrative up until your post.

I am not contradicting myself at all. I take everything into consideration but I don't ignore one result because it suits my argument. if he wins this series it proves he is a beast but you can't just ignore and pretend it didn't happen if they get slaughtered. that's ridiculous

once again, what exactly is KD's legacy? I don't think anyone is trying to compare him to the GOATs

durant's peak is certainly in the super elite tier. he's the only 50-40-90 player who has also won a scoring title

he's possibly the most diversified scorer of all time

exactly my point. MJ made those around him better and taught them to be great. LeBron is a bad teammate and teaches nothing, as evident from what happens when he leaves

If LeBron is such a GOAT, he should have no struggles making his team better
He does, which is why he's got the Knicks leftovers and a dude who looks like a little, white hobo to the Finals.

It's no surprise that MJ couldn't win titles when he had similar casts. Then he got better players and he won. I'd think if you knew that, right about now a lightbulb should be going off in your head.

the issue is you're associating wins with the individual, which is where all the logical issues arise

wins are a team stat

Yes. He eleveated their talent to a point where when he was gone, they were still very good.

LeBron can and will never be able to say that

when you rely on completely subjective assessments such as this, you can never lose an argument

there are many super elite players that aren't champions and it is held against them as is KD not winning a title. as it should be. you aren't disproving anything I said

this literally makes no sense in objective reality

but keep creating subjective mythology to use as your baseline. you can never lose if you only rely on your own opinion and can keep moving the goalpost

Exactly, that's why those wizards teams were so great. They had the ultimate teammate giving them more talent!!!!
