Ray Allen is playing some beastly defense on him. I think you've got to give him some props for Kobe's shooting right now

Yeah

But I don't see any better defense by Ray Allen than what Grant Hill did. Individually speaking. Team defense Boston is crazy good.

But in ISO plays Kobe can't throw it in an ocean

But in this Finals series all of the guards have shot shitty FG%'s for the most part.

Officiating has been poor all game, but its been pretty even on the mistakes. Sadly, one bad call cost the Celtics 3 points on the Pierce block called a foul for Fisher.

As for the charge on Rondo, it could go back to the charge that Pierce drew on Odom that wasn't really a charge.

In the end, the carry and techincal were the only two that irked me. If you're going to call carrying the ball, call it on Kobe, Pierce, Gasol, etc. They are all doing blatantly in front of the refs. Don't pick and choose to call it on a whim.

The technical foul, while a right call just irked me as a pussy play by Artest. This dude acts like a hard-arse, but is an utter pussy.

No it is the fact Laker fans refuse to accept they have been helped out a lot by the refs in this series.
There have been bad calls against both teams and to say that the Lakers are being helped by the refs is just ridiculous.

FWIW Odom also got robbed on that charge call earlier that cost the Lakers a chance for a 3pt play

Celtics are +1.5 at halftime.

Betters and oddsmakers alike are confident that Boston should win this game.

I would have thought Boston would be +4.5 which essentially would mean they'd have to win to cover 2nd half.

There weren't a ton of 3 pointers though. Ray Allen going 4-6 on 3's in the 2nd half would bridge the gap between 60% shooting and 40% shooting. I think it's less of a factor than we're giving it credit for.

If you look at the box score it looks like Boston would be winning by 15 right now. Turnovers kept the lead from ballooning.

Bynum has been a non-factor after a great start.

Only way the Lakers win this game is if Celtics get in foul trouble or Kobe plays his best half of the series. Believe me, both are possible but I think the Celtics win this game 2 out of 3 times with a 6-point lead and Bynum looking shaky of late.

Actually the more I think about it the bigger chance I give Kobe to step up. This is his moment.

As somebody who bet on the Celtics I'm scared. Hope that the Allens can stay out of foul trouble because they're keeping Kobe human so far.

I said that the call on Rondo instead of rightly being a foul on Kobe negates that charge. If anything the Odom charge should've been a NO CALL, so no 3 point play.

It's been shitty and overall close in this game as far as bad calls, but the first four games of the series, definitely saw the Lakers benefit from unbalanced officiating.

The Allen's won't be in foul trouble. It would take 5 from Ray and 4 from Tony so I don't think foul trouble will be an issue for those two. They are doing a very good job on Kobe throughout the series. I hope Kobe lights it up though.

Yeah I have no problem with tonight's officiating. I'd say this is probably the fairest game so far.

I'm worried about Rondo getting a 2nd tech - did yall see him roll that ball upcourt after a tough call? My stomach dropped for a second. If he gets whistled for a T there it's over. Game over, series over. Hope Doc and Ray Ray get in his ear about staying cool.

Alejandro, he tossed it to the ref that was up court, so no way he gets a tech there.

The Celtics have really been attacking the paint.
