In this series? In that arena? Yes. No question. In another series while in Miami? A little more questionable

No he doesn't. He is a superstar, NBA treats superstars differently especially in the playoffs

Are you kidding? The night after Noah gets tossed and flipped the bird in Miami? If they don't toss Lebron, the people of Chicago riot. They toss him. I believe that with certainty

This was a flagrant foul
This was a ejection and 2 game suspension

Notice that Griffin was injured? And I don't disagree with you. Superstars are treated differently. That's obvious. But I don't think they let that go in this series. Even if Lebron is the culprit. But Wade should've been tossed and the other dude shouldn't have been suspended for 2 games. That's excessive.

If lebron two hand shoved someone, after intentionally fouling them, and was clearly out there to be a goon, 100% he wouldve been ejected.
The dude doesnt have free reign to go around assaulting people on the court. Come one.
And who the frick even cares, Lebron didnt and wouldnt do something like that. It's a pointless question that isn't relevant to what actually happened.

The context is also different. The Wade play was during the playoffs, where we all know emotions are high. The Smith play was just a regular season game. The Wade play was during the course of action. The Nazr play was a dead ball.
Also, just because the Smith penalty was excessive doesn't mean the Wade penalty wasn't appropriate. Smith shouldn't have been suspended two games, but no reason to compound that stupidity by also suspending Wade or even ejecting him.
Context makes a lot of difference in these cases. In that same Indiana series, Hansbrough was got a flagrant for trying to take Wade's eye out, but Haslem got suspended for a less dangerous retaliation on Hansbrough.

This is ridiculous. LeBron handled the situation perfectly. Nazr is like what, 40? Do you really think he was put in to play some ball? Thibs wanted him to get Bron ejected. It didn't work. If anything, Nazr flopped.

quote:From my perspective Nazr got good leverage on an unsuspecting LeBron. It is as if a blocker in football got under the pads of a defender and pancaked him. LeBron wasn't able to shift his center of gravity fast enough to avoid being knocked down.
Did Nazr push James that hard? OR Did Lebron flop?
As far as Lebron sliding, I think him pushing off the floor with his legs was the cause. He was trying to regain balance, but his momentum was backward rather than upward. His arm motion would not have had enough leverage to propel him that far.

I love the notion that being rational and logical means whatever that word even is.
This board has become mush.

Like I said, Nazr knew what he was doing. Notice all the Bulls fans high fiving him on the way out? It was no secret what Thibodeau was doing.

Watching the full play, I just think Nazr was trying to stop the fast break. He didn't Butler was back in time to stop it. For whatever reason though he overreacted to LeBron trying to get untangled with him. In no way did LeBron deserve a technical for that. That was simply Joey Crawford being Joey Crawford. In no way did was LeBron do warrant that kind of a reaction from Nazr. Just stupid.
But at that point, you can't give LeBron and Nazr technicals. If they hadn't T'ed LeBron, I think Nazr could have gotten away with a Flagrant 1 and moved on from the play. But again... Joey being Joey.
