Outfielder Kyle Schwarber and the Washington Nationals are in agreement on a one-year, $10 million deal, sources familiar with the situation tell ESPN. First with the deal:
@dougherty_jesse
.

I'm surprised at that amount, in this market. An overpay IMO.

And I guess this means KS in left field and Soto in right. Defense, yikes.

Washington has unlimited money. Remember their season ticket holders don’t miss checks due to pandemic. Government officials and agencies make up a huge portion of their season tickets. You ever see the government not get paid?

Why is Schwarbs fighting his destiny as a DH? You're not an outfielder bro.

Yeah, his fielding leaves a little something to be desired.

fricking Cubs going all Tampa Bay with the payroll.

Hasn't he ranked near league average the last two years since he lost weight?

Has the DH been agreed on yet? I wouldn’t take him on an NL team if they don’t have it.

I guess I'm not seeing the value of him as DH, given my previous post. shite, I'd rather have the pitcher hit.

Works both ways though... doing well or not. Either way that's pretty fricking terrible

Don’t think NL is going to have DH this year.

MLB's gate problem isn't really people not wanting to buy tickets. It's people not being allowed in. If D.C.'s far left mayor says no fans, then people won't pay to not go to the games

I mean a season I 162 games so you are looking at less than 1/3.... By that argument then Christian Telling was never an MVP as he turned it on the last 3 months of the year

He's a career .230 hitter, so that paired with his below average defense and I'm not seeing the appeal.

He walks a decent amount and has power, as long as he can play close to league average defense dude is fine. Dude had a 122 and 117 OPS over the previous two seasons
