My wife and I have agreement, we are expecting twins currently and one regardless of sex will be Charlie in honor of CFM.
I am all for that....but please don't do that to your daughter (if one is female). No girl deserves to go through life as Charleigh.
Middle names are fair game though

Buccees up!
I would love to go to Buc'ees, but I live in Louisiana. In case the rest of the world didn't get the memo, people who live in Louisiana can't have nice things like that.

Charlotte, with Charlie as a nickname, is acceptable.

NATITUDE
I loved me some Natitude over the weekend. That "we are never going to have the lead all weekend in our own ballpark" attitude that the Nats had was something to see and admire.

As a girl her name would be Charlotte and I get to call her Charlie
I'm not gonna be one of those parents
ETA: Didn't even see your post Boo, but that's exactly the plan.

I should be the minister of DAT baby names.

Meh. Charlie or Charly is cute. How is it different from girls named Harper or Taylor or Blake, Chandler, Cameron, etc. There almost aren't boy or girl names anymore.

Sam Holbrook is the home plate ump tonight. The Athletic summarizes each umps tendencies at the plate. Some interesting stats with Holbrook.
quote:
Game 6 Home Plate Ump Sam Holbrook
Holbrook has experience umpiring a big game late in a World Series. He had the plate for Game 7 of Cubs-Indians in 2016. Holbrook's strike zone history is that of a conservative strike caller, relatively speaking. However, his numbers this season indicate an ump who favored neither batter nor pitcher in the aggregate.
If Strasburg is pitching for the Nationals, he should be thrilled to see Holbrook. He has an 0.90 ERA in 40 regular-season innings with 43 strikeouts and seven walks with Holbrook behind the plate. Verlander's ERA with Holbrook is 2.33, including two starts this season in which he allowed one run in 14 innings, with 17 strikeouts.
Most important tendencies: A look at three years rather than one shows that Holbrook has been less of a strike caller than other umpires on high and low pitches, especially so at the bottom of the strike zone when a right-handed batter is up. That would seem to affect Strasburg more than Verlander, since Verlander tends to pitch more up in the strike zone. But as you see in the numbers above, Strasburg doesn't seem bothered with how Holbrook calls a game.

Injured my back Friday, been in pain and can't walk correctly since that time.
After that the Stros won three in a row in DC. I have an appointment in a few hours with a pain management person, I will tell them no treatment can't begin until Wednesday morning due to World Series.
We RIDIN!!!!

Her name is Charly and nothing wrong with that.

If El Campo delivers this 4 in a row, he deserves a billboard. Or a placement in the updated DAT Community Leaders outfield wall with a Buc-ees sign.

Let me know when Verlander wins a WS game.
