Same lineup as last night. Reddick in the 9 hole.

Greinke
Urquidy
Cole

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Verlander came in late in a tied situation and got a win?

Serious question. After Grienke is done pitching for the night, could he technically be available to pinch hit and take the field at another position if he wanted?

No once he is removed from the game he is gone.

Cool. Didn't know if he could technically still hit even after being pulled as a pitcher.

They could do a double switch. Throw him out there at 3rd base.

I really hope the admins keep this thread clear of obvious trolls tonight.

Had to bow out last night because the content was more trolls than regulars of the DAT.

He could theoretically move from P to another position.

The Rays have done this a few times, it gets confusing with the lineup when it involves the DH, but I believe they did a double switch so they wouldn't lose the DH.

Not that it matters but my predictions for game 7.

Astros 6 Nats 4

Greinke: 5 IP 2 Runs 6 Ks
Scherzer: 4 IP 5 Runs 4 Ks

Brantley goes 3-4 with a 2 run homer, 2 run double and a RBI single. Yordan will also hit a homer in the 7th. Putting the Astros up 6-2.

Nats will add a couple in the 8th to make the ninth more stressful.

I hadn't even considered this, but it would be my favorite way to win by far

Hot take here that the trolls won’t like:

I don’t think Bregs did the bat thing on purpose. If you watch him round first base, he tried to hand the bat off to the coach after watching the ball for a LONG time.

It was an awkward exchange and Bregman even stopped to try to hand it off again after missing the first time. I think he got caught up in the moment and lost his wit for a few seconds.

I don’t think that Soto’s antics in response to Bergman’s mental slip will be responded to kindly tonight. I don’t know if it comes in the form of just beating the tar out of the Nats, or just an “accidental” HBP (admittedly doubtful), but I feel like Houston will respond in a cockstrong manner.

Like I said, hot take, but looking at replays I don’t feel like Bregman was trying to be a dick.

Either way, my body is ready.

The dumbest thing we could do is put a runner on base in game 7 of the world series just because of some mild showboating in a previous game.
