I think that's a year early. Believe they can get out if it after 2028 so they are only 100% on the hook for

8mm this upcoming year
16mm next year
21.5mm in 2028

The bonk on the head got him a 6-game suspension. Tempers flare, I suppose.

The REAL crime that was swept under the rug was that Garrett tried to justify himself by saying Mason Rudolph called him the Devil-word.

That's basically a blood libel against a white person. That lie could have ended Rudolph's career. It's much more serious than fighting, but the league didn't tack on any extra penalty when their investigation determined that Garrett made the whole thing up. Cowardly and despicable.
