i wondered if all the athletes are in the south (as people here would say) then why is the sec so turrible at basketball.

i think most blacks agree with you that they hate cold weather.
i don't think this keeps them from playing football though.

They've won 5 out of the last 15 national championships. That's not really terrible. If you add the ACC, which is in the south, it's 8 out of the last 15 NCs from the south.

acc is a coastal conference
and florida is the only team who is constantly in contention. one team doesnt make a conference
