So if going into this weekend Ohio State was 5 and Alabama was 6. What did Alabama do this weekend that Ohio State didn’t to jump Ohio State in the standings? That’s where you lose me. I think it ends up being…

If the committee does what they are supposed to do, OSU should be ranked #3 regardless of the rematch. Seems like Georgia would be getting the short end of the stick having to play OSU in 1st round.

Just also to be fair
USC has two losses to Utah. They also have wins over 3 teams 15-21 in the playoff rankings.
OSU has the 1 loss to Michigan. They have wins over a top 10 teams in playoff rankings and the #21 team.
Tennessee has the loss to UGA and USC. Wins over two highly ranked teams.
Bama has two losses to UT and LSU. Wins over late ranked Texas and MSU.
I would rank those four off the resumes:
OSU
UT
USC
Bama
