the pens drafted 1,2,1,2 fours years in a row facts are facts btw the caps made the playoffs in 2003 so we didn't tank shite. The pens also finished dead last in 2004 so they had a better chance of getting Ovie

and no one went to Pens games could get seats on the glass for 20 bucks, im sure you didn't even watch those lean years

Someone sho is mad tonight.

Ovechkin can't carry a team like Sid/Geno can, and the Caps can't make front office moves like the Pens do to put successful players around them.

You think the Pens wouldn't be kicking arse with Vokoun and not Fluery or Crosby out again with a concussion? Already proven the Pens are more than 1 or 2 players multiple times don't even wanna hear it.

Maybe if you could pull off a trade for a James Neal and a Kunitz/Dupuis type you'd have a decent team too.

Kris Letang, Simon Despres, Brooks Orpik all drafted and developed, hell Letang was a 62nd overall pick. Add in signings of a meh Paul Martin and a meh Deryk Engelland and the Pens have put together a damn good team around 2 excellent draft picks. The whole defensive unit is a bunch of later round developed talent and young AHL pups with a bright future developing on the fly.

Not my fault your organization can't do the same around Ovechkin and what was Semen/Backstrom. Not my fault they've hired 3 different coaches and are mimicking the Oakland Raiders in that area.

No excuse needed for the clusterfrick the Caps have become so don't come in here all pissed off venting at 3am after that asswhipping. Why don't you make a call to the GM, or go to the games with a group of friends and wear a paper bag over your head to get your point across, that's what most teams do when the front office has fricked everything up majorly.

no shite one player can't carry a team as well as two players of equal talent

GMGM is a disaster no disagreeing that but to claim the Pens did suck an amazing job is a crock of shite when they were the laughing stock of the NHL for 5 years playing in an area 1/3 of the way full.

Exactly, a 3rd round draft pick developed into one of the Top D-Men in the game.

Well look on the bright side, the Caps keep this up for the next few years, they can try and do it too!

thats happens alot, its nothing special. But the way the 2005 draft worked put the Pens in the position to take him.
