And for a guy who was so damn competitive (and sometimes underhanded) on the playing field, he was as much a gentleman off of it. He funded a hospital in his home county in northeast Georgia.

That's kind of a weak one since Robinson only lived in Georgia for a year and actually grew up in Pasadena, but legitimate I guess.

Sorry PA, i didnt see it. I am not just thinking of college careers. I loved watching the guys play that you named and they were great at AU but I was also trying to include a pro career. Except Julio Jones, He is better than Jim Thorpe, Ali, Jordan, and the 1984 USA olympic hockey team

OK. if they have to had done more than be born there I can toss out Robinson and Brown.

Sad to have to replace them with the likes of Herschel Walker, Gwen Torrance or Bill Elliott.

Born there, but moved to Cleveland when he was 7. Went to Ohio St. I think it's OK if we both claim him.

TH, I've always ment to ask you how it feels watching Julio play for the Tide. Do you cheer for him to do great in a losing effort, or something?

JJ is my boy. Everyone here knows the story. I hate he went to the tide but thats how it rolled. I am glad for him. He autographed a bunch of stuff so I could raffle it off to raise more money to purchase more players....I mean equipment. I spoke to him last week. I have a picture of him in an Auburn jersey at practice when he was in middle school. I like to see him do well but I hate Bama and he is part of it until he comes home. Then he is still a Foley Lion.

Nice.

You should download that to your comp and post it on a Bama board as a joke, and see if it riles up some idiotic Gumps.
