Zero SECCG appearances despite having a very, very rich NFL talent state. I think they belong.

You don't think they underperform?

Poor coaches and not holding onto top players in state have doomed Ole Miss to mediocrity.

they don't have huge money or a great stadium, and they have in-state competition in a small state

a lot of good suggestions on here...

I'd also add Michigan St and South Carolina if they haven't been mentioned

UCLA, FSU, and TAM, three formerly strong programs that have been weak this decade..UCLA and Tam sliding even in the late nineties.

The same three should also be better and more consistent on the baseball diamond. With even FSU now sliding a tad under an aging Martin. There is no reason to not have teams that challenge for Omaha each year, with tons of in-state high school baseball talent. Yet all three, let other smaller city and/or regional schools, outperform them, some with much less resources, facilities, etc..

If I were an UCLA or TAM grad, I'd be ballistic over the football and baseball programs being squandered for so long.

Those who say UGA doesn't belong clearly don't live in Atlanta or know UGA fans...

Not a lot of competition in the Carolinas

5 ACC Schools and South Carolina. Not to mention UGA and Tennessee go in there. and this is for 2 states without that much talent to begin with.

MICHIGAN

One NC (split) since 1948. I have as many championships as Bo Schembechler. All time winningest school....yes. But they are not a player to win it all and have not been for some time.

Can't argue this. They had some great teams in the 70's and choked every year.

Michigan is 877-302-36 (.737) and touted as the winningest program ever.

Les Miles is 50-15 (.769) at LSU and touted as the biggest bum to ever coach football.

it is pathetic that Texas A&M has been irrelevant for 2 decades

Texas A&M is underachieving, but they were really good in he 90's, that was only 1 decade ago.

Its really a shame so many tard out there think either you win the championship or you suck. The all or nothing mentality is really mind blowing and makes people lose perspective.

How many top 10 rankings and winning seasons do you have?

I wouldn't judge underachievement based on fan reaction.

UCLA, A&M and Clemson are all good picks.

This. I blame ESPN and their hype machine for brainwashing everybody into thinking it's either "championship or bust" by constantly talking about the Title Game all year long

It's the same reason a lot of people think LSU is a Johnny-come-lately in college football when we know they have been relevant most of their history...just not always winning championships

side note: what about 2006? How was Michigan not a "player" to win it all that year?

The most underperforming program right now is Notre Dame in the eyes of the media and Subway Alumni. But probably the one who in reality is Illinois. Illinois has major recruiting base, major benefactors, failities, conference, history, and can not turn the corner.
